SPECIAL NOTES CONCERNING ALL DC JET SKI CLUB RIDES
1) To attend any ride a Waiver of Liability must be signed either at the event or presently be on file with the acting club President, Gregg Adams.
2) Pre-registration (by an email RVSP) is required for those planning to attend any ride. (This allows ride organizer(s) to have an accurate count of the expected number of watercraft, riders, and provide any last minute details that may not be immediately available on the web.)
3) The theme, and motivation, behind this club is to have fun! This requires boater safety to be a high priority on all our rides. When there are large numbers of PWC's (and other boating traffic) attention to this detail is increased. Please be aware of your surroundings, speed, and distance to other vessels.
4) PWC owners and/or operators are expected to be in compliance with all laws and regulations required for their craft. (This is mandated by federal, state, and local laws. You are expected to have properly maintained all registrations, inspections, and all safety equipment required by law.)
Kent Island / Chester Rive Ride
Saturday June 27, 2009
Kent Island, Md
(DC Jet Ski Club Ride)
The Capital Area PWC club will be holding a ride June 27, 2009. The ride will began at the foot of the old Kent Narrows Bridge on Kent Island, Md.
We will ride north out of the Kent Island Narrows into the Chester River. North pass Eastern Neck Island Wild Life Refuge to Chestertown. Depending on the water depth, we may continue pass Chestertown to the small town of Millington. Lunch will be at a waterside restaurant in Chestertown. Then return to Kent Island.
The Chester River is very wide at its mouth and narrows as it runs north. Development along the river is limited, so lots of natural and native shoreline will be seen. Bald Eagles will certainly be seen along this river. There are numerous creeks flowing into the Chester for additional riding and sight seeing adventures.
If you can make this ride, you need to register with me prior to Friday evening, June 26th. I need to know who is coming in case of unfavorable sea conditions develop and the ride being canceled. You cannot launch from the public ramp at Kent Narrows without a permit and instructions on how to obtain same will be given out upon registering. The permit fee is $5.00. Fine for not having a permit is $50.00.
You can register for the ride simply by sending me an e-mail with your name and cell phone number. Meeting location, time and permit information will be sent back.
Looking forward to a fun and safe ride with those who enjoy PWCs.

End Of Season Pot Luck And Ride!
Saturday, October 24, 2009
Lake Anna Community Launch, Va
(DC Jet Ski Club Ride)
The summer has come and gone quickly! The weather went from HOT to NOT in what seemed like days, instead of weeks. Once again we are all faced with that 'time to Winterize' and get ready for raking leaves, empty trees, and ghosts and goblins galore.
BUT WAIT! We can't just give up that easily!! It's time to end the season on a high, though somewhat cold, note. So we are inviting all interested members to hitch up those skis; check that oil; and bring your grills and cooking skills to the end of the season Potluck and Ride.
The launch location is semi-private and the water (and possibly air temperature) will be a little cold. So bring your wet suits, and similiar riding gear, for the event.
If you plan to attend, please RVSP by email to Barry ( b m s t a d 4 1 at a o l . c o m). He will provide directions and additional information.
